International I Hate Coriander Day (55/365)

Personally, I don’t, but apparently some people absolutely detest Coriander, a staple herb used in many cuisines worldwide. And while some simply don’t like the herb, researchers have found that some carry genetic variants that make them especially sensitive to certain aldehydes, which are also found in soaps and cleaning products. So coriander ends up tasting like soap. Blurgh!

So if you don’t like the stuff and want to moan about it, this is your day to do so. For the rest of us, add it to your guac and enjoy some Tortillas because it’s also National Tortilla Day. Or call it Cilantro and try and fool the non-believers.
